Homework packs and book bags went home tonight with everyone. Homework is due back on Fridays, but ...."better late than never" is my policy, so Monday or Tuesday of the following week is also fine. The most important aspect of homework is that it is quality work, especially when practicing letter formation. Remind your child, they always need to do their best, even when doing homework. Homework is a grade on the report card, so please help kiddos get in the habit of doing it on a regular basis:)
Book Bags were also sent home today. The books your children brought home are books that they have already read in the classroom. They should read each book a couple of times out loud and if they get stuck on a word suggest they look at how the word begins, ask ..."can you tap it out", or have them look at the picture. After they've tried these strategies, you can tell them the word.
