Welcome everyone to our fabulous first grade! Already, I can see that our class is full of
caring, kind, and wonderful students. The first few days have gone smoothly.
Typically the first week or so is all about teaching routines, introducing
materials and building community. When you talk to your student about school,
it may appear that it is just fun and games, which is our intention and hopefully
they are enjoying, but behind the scenes we are creating a structure to support
learners the entire year. Slowly, as our initial assessment process winds down, we will transition into the regular schedule
and gradually implement our first grade curriculum.
