Winter is upon us..

Tis the season of hats, mittens, gloves, snow pants, boots and coats.  Please,  put your child's initials or first name in their winter clothing and boots.  This will help to keep all this extra clothing on their body and off someone elses:) Each year, there are numerous identical gloves, boots, hats, jackets, and snow pants.  As you can imagine, when it's time to go out to recess, kiddos are frantically sorting through a mass of clothing looking for their things, a task made  much easier if things clearly marked.  Not to mention the cost of having to replace lost items because children mistakenly take others clothing thinking it is theirs.

MAKING BOOKS ABOUT OURSELVES AND OUR FAVORITE FRIEND...AKA OUR BIG BUDDY!

Pictures of big and little buddies creating fictional pumpkin characters. Later, the little buddies wrote a persuasive paragraph explaining why their pumpkin was the best.

Working with our math partners, we are learning about place value, and creating equations that equal 100.  One partner rolls the dice, then creates the highest two-digit number they can make, and the other partner has to find the what the other addend will be to make the sum of 100.
