VIP Visit & Guest Reader Volunteer Visits Our Classroom

Congratulations Wyatt! We are so proud of  Wyatt, who represented our class, and spoke with the Vermont Commissioner of Education,  Armando Vilaseca, today about some of the highlights of attending Academy School. Mr. Vilaseca wanted to know what makes Academy School so great;  and I am sure he got some wonderful stories from our student representatives. Today was a very special day for all of us, and we should all feel proud of the recognition we received!

WE are truly blessed...

Every Tuesday, retired teacher and  story teller extraordinaire , Jim Beddard, makes stories come alive in our classroom. The children absolutely love all the drama and excitement he imparts with each book he reads aloud. This past Tuesday, he brought his ukulele so he could play his rendition of "On Top of Spaghetti" to the tune of ..."On Top of Old Smokey" which accompanied his story about a meatball that went on a fabulous journey.  The kiddos absolutely love it when Mr. Beddard visits us.
