Talking about being thankful... each feather of our turkeys listed someone, or something we are thankful for having in our lives. Below, Ms. Motta, Academy's guidance counselor, read a story to our class about being a "Bucket Filler" which is someone who is kind and helps others to feel happy, included, and genuinely cared about. Stars of acknowledgement are given to children who show others acts of kindness during the day.
Below, you can see that math is sometimes fun, and sometimes serious business; especially when we are competing to win! It's a win/win situation, anyway you look at it because the kiddos are engaged in their learning:)
